Soldering Aint 4 Sissies...

Today I found out why some of us are called newbies and some are called veterans. The simple fact is that some of us are new and everything around us is new! It's nothing to be ashamed of. We all need to start at the beginning and work our way up. The important thing is that we start, time is a ticking away, so come on pick up that torch an get started. Here is an example of the work of one of my class mates: Marilyn and this is only our second class!

Now take a gander at the creativity and design work by our Veterans... WOW!
Katie's pendant is a flawless fused glass cabochon set in brass on hammered copper.

Cats pendant is an agate slice dangling from a copper hammered leaf form.

Judy's piece is a mix of brass, copper and glass Her design is put together some what like a puzzle.

And here we are learning, working.....and sharing!

Sweltering heat...and not from a kiln!

Here in sunny, humid PA, it's been way to hot to fire the kiln. I'm in the process of setting up my own little pottery studio. My daughter has been storing her things in the garage where my studio is going....however, she and her night in shining armor, just bought a house and we will soon be shoveling out her stuff...yay! It may seem like it is taking forever but it will be worth it in the end.

My little shop will be a haven for ClayFriends to gather and throw some pots. I can hardly wait!
